Delete your account

How to delete your Kestrel Property Club account and your data. Deleting your account cannot be undone.

In the app

Sign in, open Settings and tap Delete account. The app shows what will happen before you confirm.

By email

If you cannot use the app, email privacy@kinmoot.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will reply to confirm. If you registered interest in a deal while signed out, mention it, as that registration may not be linked to your account.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in and your profile: your name, photo, bio and links.
  • Your membership of every hub you have joined. You will lose access to those hubs and everything inside them.
  • Your progress through any course, and anything you saved or downloaded.
  • Your notification settings and your devices’ push notification registrations.
  • Your name, email address and any phone number you gave, wherever they sit on your account’s records: on deals you registered interest in while signed in, on calls you booked, on introductions you asked for, on files you downloaded, and on any finance, broker or waiting-list form you filled in.
  • We search those forms for the email address on your account, so the ones you filled in while signed out are found too — a call you booked or a file you downloaded before you signed in is cleared in the same way. If you used a different address, nothing connects it to your account, so it may stay.
  • Files you uploaded, including your profile photo.

What stays, and why

  • Anything you posted on a hub’s Floor stays there. Your posts and replies remain, shown as “Former member”, with your name, photo, headline and area removed. They stay because other members replied to them and built conversations around them, and those conversations are not ours to delete.
  • Each hub keeps its own record of what you did there — your bookings, introductions and downloads whether you were signed in or not, the deals you registered interest in while signed in, and the emails it sent you. The date, the deal and the call stay; your name, email address and any phone number are removed from them.
  • A registration of interest you made while signed out stays. Registering interest in a deal is the one form we do not search by email address. If you registered interest before you had an account, or without signing in, nothing connects that record to your account, so deleting your account does not find it. It still holds the name, email address and phone number you gave on that form.
  • If your email address has ever unsubscribed, bounced or been marked as spam, we keep that one record of the address. It is the only thing stopping a hub from emailing you again. Deleting it would start the emails.
  • If you have ever paid us, we keep the payment record for six years. UK tax law requires it. We cannot delete it and nor can you.
  • Our email and analytics providers keep their own copies of the messages we have sent you and your activity on our sites and apps. We are not currently asking either of them to delete those copies. Our email provider deletes messages automatically after 45 days regardless; our analytics provider keeps its records under its own retention period.

How long it takes

When you delete your account in the app, it is deleted straight away and you are signed out. We then cancel the calendar entries for any calls you booked, and email you to confirm once that is done — usually within a day.

Some accounts cannot be deleted in one step: one that runs a hub, is named on deals that other people have registered interest in, or is part-way through buying a deal through a hub. For those, we record your request and delete your account within 30 days — for a purchase in progress, within 30 days of it finishing or being withdrawn — and email you to confirm when it is done. Your account keeps working until then.
